Suspending New CN (Chinese) Domain Registrations

Unfortunately the Chinese Registrar CNNIC has severely restricted new registrations of CN domains following Google’s pull-out of the country.

Initially we were informed that registrations would still be possible with Chinese-based providers but now CNNIC have introduced requirements for color headshot photo identification, business identification (with Chinese business registration number), and physical signed registration forms from the registrant. As this documentation would need to be physically mailed, this makes registrations near to impossible.

In light of these changes we are now suspending registration of new CN domains. We will work with our providers to find a solution to these issues and hopefully resume CN registration shortly. Renewals of CN domains held with E3internet are unaffected by this change and will be treated normally.
